Plane carrying 43 crashes in Afghanistan: ministry

An airliner carrying 42 persons on an interior flight between Kunduz and Kabul has not working in a mountainous region in northern Afghanistan.

The plane lost radio get in touch with in flight from the capital Kabul and the northern city of Kunduz. It had 38 passengers and five crew members, Interior Ministry spokesman Zemarai Bashary told AFP.

"We can confrim to a. . Plane has gone down over the Salang mountain with 38 passengers and five crew members aboard," Bashary said.

It was foreigners who travel on the plane, he said. The fate of those aboard was not right away obvious.
