Back-to-back blasts key Brewers victory

Back-to-back blasts key Brewers victory
Riding back-to-back homers off the bats of rookie catcher Jonathan Lucroy and center fielder Carlos Gomez, the Brewers extended their winning streak to five games, taking the series opener from the Mariners, 8-3, at Miller Park.

Lucroy's three-run blast in the fourth, which tied the game at three runs apiece, was his first Major League home run. Just seconds after Lucroy had finished a curtain call, Gomez followed with a solo shot to right.

Right-hander Dave Bush, who was pushed back three days due to poor career numbers against the Twins, recovered from a tough start for his third victory of the season.

Bush (3-5) went six innings giving up three runs -- two earned -- on seven hits, no walks and three strikeouts.
