Israel deports 124 flotilla activists to Jordan
A group of 124 activists released by Israel after Monday's attack on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla arrived in Jordan at King Hussein border crossing points on Wednesday.

Many of them told reporters that they were "cruelly treated" by the Israeli authorities.

"I was beaten while I was in handcuffs, and they stopped me from going to the water closet for 24 hours," Kuwaiti MP Walid Tabtabai said. "The attack on the flotilla has revealed the ugly face of Israel." The group included Nationals of Jordan, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, Oman, Bahrain, Morocco, Algeria, Mauritania, Indonesia, Pakistan and Azerbaijan.

Former Jerusalem, Archbishop Hilarion Capucci said that the goal of flotilla had been completed despite the Israeli navy attacks.

"We have exposed Israel to the world through unethical behavior, because we were on a humanitarian mission to help the oppressed people in Gaza. It was a task for the Almighty God, and he was with us," he said.

Mr. Capucci was arrested by Israel in 1974 and jailed for four years and is accused of smuggling weapons to Palestinian freedom fighters.
