India-WI meet for fourth ODI on Monday
After taking a series winning lead of 3-0 margin on Saturday, India will now take on West Indies in the fourth One Day International (ODI) match of the series on Monday.
More than Indian it will be a matter of pride for the Carribean side to at least win the last two matches of the series and prevent India from achieving a 5-0 victory in their home soil.
The young Indian team showed tremendous maturity and stamina on Saturday night as they won a match that at one stage looked out of their reach.
Rohit Sharma lived upto his mark and played a match winning knock of 86 runs to take India to the winning scores of 226 runs.
Sharma's innings helped India recover from 92 for six to chase down 226 at the Sir Vivian Richards stadium.
He added 88 runs for the seventh wicket with Harbhajan Singh (41) and put India back in contention.
Praveen Kumar then struck 25 not out as the tourists coasted to a comfortable victory with 22 balls to spare.
West Indies had posed a total of 225 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the game.
For West Indies, it will be more a fight for honour than any thing else at present with the series already put of their hands.
The West Indian bowlers failed to bowl out the Indian team and win the third ODI on Saturday when for the first time during this tour the ‘Men in Blue’ looked a bit out of colour at a point.
Spectators will again expect to see a flamboyant performance by Jamaican Andre Russell
who played a mighty innings of 92 runs in the last encounter to help his side reach the 225 runs mark.
Indian spectators on the other hand will expect to see some good turn from leg spinner Amit Mishra who bowled brilliantly in the last match, picking up three wickets by giving away just 28 runs from his allotted 10 overs in the game.
