`Pearl Harbour` star Ben Affleck has denied being involved in the infamous poker ring of Hollywood and owing half a million dollar to actor Ron Meyer. The 38-year-old actor who took part in the poker ring in 2004, around the time he was engaged to Jennifer Lopez, is said to have later paid half of the debt.
A representative for Ben Affleck has denied allegations the actor lost hundreds of thousands of dollars to a Hollywood poker ring, branding the reports "complete garbage."
Spider-Man actor Tobey Maguire recently hit headlines after he was sued for allegedly taking more than $300,000 in winnings from bankrupt hedge fund manager Bradley Ruderman, who has been jailed for operating a fraudulent Ponzi scheme.
Meyer is the President of Universal Studios and his daughter Jennifer is married to Tobey Maguire. Others involved in the circle are Leonard DiCaprio and Matt Damon.
