Court increases Rathore's sentence to 18 months | The Times Of India
A sessions court Tuesday greater than before the sentence former Haryana DGP SPS Rathore from six months to 18 months.
Rathore had filed an appeal against a six-month sentence awarded to him by a CBI court for molest teenage Ruchika Girhotra.
Ruchika family and the CBI had also filed petition seeking the strengthening of the verdict to a maximum of two years.
The court had heard an argument on a day-to-day basis 3 to 11 May the case was held at the back stopped up doors.
Rathore was sentenced to six months in jail, on December 21 last year by a CBI court for molest Ruchika as 14 years in Panchkula, 12 August 1990.
