'Half-fit players would not be selected'
Players who are not completely sure at the time made the assortment will be considered for future tournaments, according to BCCI sources.
"In the past half-fit players taken in the hope that they will get better completely when the tournament starts, but the board has learned from its experience over the last two Twenty20 World Cup, and from now onwards, only fully fit players would be measured optional , a top board foundation said.
Lack of fitness has been named as one of the main reason behind India's sad showing in the recent Twenty20 World Cup, where they could not win a single Super Eight phase match.
Coach Gary Kirsten was appalled by the poor condition of the team, and he has learned to be recognized, Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan and Rohit Sharma unfit for cricket at every height.
