Karna Police to seek Bhatkal's custody in stadium blasts probe

Karnataka Police will seek custody of Abdul Samad Bhatkal, whose role is supposed in last month explosions outside a cricket stadium here, says Home Minister VS Acharya on Saturday.

Bhatkal, arrested from Mangalore recently by the Mumbai Anti-Terrorism Squad, was examined by the Pune police in the German Bakery bomb.

At the end of the probe, the state will seek his custody; Mr. Acharya said the press on the sidelines of a function here.

At least 17 people were wounded in two low-intensity bomb explosions outside the Chinnaswamy cricket stadium before an IPL match in the city 17 April.
