Lance Armstrong crash at Tour of California
Lance Armstrong drop out of the 2010 Amgen Tour of California in the beginning of Thursday's Stage 5 not long after the crash. About 15 riders went down just 4 miles after he left the Visalia to 121-mile stage to Bakersfield. Games sent him to hospital for defensive X-rays, and left him blood loss and bruised. Armstrong told the linked Press that he was relieved that not anything is broken, and he'll take a few days to get well. Team spokesman Philippe Maertens said Armstrong had stitches in the left elbow and below his left eye.
