Rathore case verdict deferred to May 25
The much-awaited decision on plea to increase sentence former police chief Haryana SPS Rathore in Ruchika Girhotra assault case was postponed to Thursday, May 25
After hearing influence on the ongoing day-to-day basis since May 3rd supplementary District and Sessions Judge Gurbir Singh to announce the conclusion today.
A special CBI court had found Rathore guilty last December of molest 15 year old Ruchika in Panchkula town in August 1990. She dedicated suicide three years later.
The former state police chief was sentence to six months in jail strict and a fine of Rs.1, 000 strokes on him. However, he was right away decided bail.
Previously, will this substance for inquiry on 8 February but was postponed by the court after a knife attack on Rathore and his lawyer at a scholar party Utsav Sharma.
Sharma was immediately under arrest but was later released on bail. The local court will take the matter on 16 August.
