Celtics' Powerful Defense Missing In Game 1
Although the Los Angeles Lakers have never admitted it was certainly welcome, but also some of the emptiness of winning the championship against the Orlando Magic last season. They claimed the franchise's 15th title got shiny new rings, raised another banner, but what they really wanted - and had to wait two years to get - was revenge against a Boston Celtics team that seriously bullied them with sharp elbows and hard errors when the teams met in the 2008 NBA Finals.
The Celtics under enemy control in the paint, the area they normally control, send them to a 102-89 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday in Game first
The statistics were dramatic: The Lakers outrebounded the Celtics 42-31 and had a 48-30 advantage in points in the paint.
