The strange pairing of Sonam Kapoor and Imran Khan of I Hate Luv Story has created quite a buzz and filmmaker Karan Johar manufacture rates-com says it is the fresh, the two young actors who are USP of the film.
"Those two (Imran and Sonam) is a very healthy pair, and it should work for the public. In fact, since the endorsement IHLS started, there has been good feedback all through. People react to the freshness factor. It is a youthful energy of the place, and it's pretty much visible in the film, "Karan Johar is quoted by a news organization.
Ironically, the movie fun of cheesy romantic films Bollywood, some of Karan himself has been known for. But the producer gave her nod of approval from the moment he heard the story. He is under no illusion that mushy romances no longer work with the public.
"The old-fashioned love is no longer satisfactory. Even if people can see that it happens, it seems so incredible," Johar told Reuters.
The film, directed by the first hour Puneet Malhotra, is scheduled to let go July 2.
