Jyaneshwari derailment: Four suspected Naxals arrested
Four suspects were arrested Naxalites here today for their supposed involvement in train derailment Jyaneshwari that claimed 148 lives and left over 200 wounded. Official sources said CRPF personnel belonging to 202 Battalion of the Special Action Force (SAF), together with the local police chosen up eight people suspected of Guimera Jhargram village under police station.
Hearing of Lalto Mahto, Dilip Mahto, Ashita Mahto Mahto Kamlesh and showed that they were active local squad member and had given administrative hold up to the group of Maoists, who had forged the path that led to the derailment of the Mumbai-bound trains, they said. Thirteen coaches of Howrah-Kurla Lokmanya Tilak Jyaneshwari Super Deluxe Express had derailed on Friday with five of its bogies being hit by a freight train coming from the opposite way on parallel tracks.
