McDonalds Shrek glass recall due to cadmium
Fast food chain McDonald's has pulled its newest toy shops after they exposed that the patterns painted on his Shrek drinking glasses contain toxic metal cadmium.
It is believed that Shrek-themed glasses memory has painted design, it seems that painted this design contains traces of cadmium, prolonged exposure to cadmium has previously been linked to kidney problems and bone soften.
There are four different designs to look out for, they all promote the upcoming movie "Shrek Forever After", design include painting by Donkey, Puss in Boots, Shrek and Princess Fiona.
If you own one of these glasses U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recommend that you immediately stop using the glasses, a McDonald's spokesman said recently that the amount of cadmium that the glass contains, is very small, but "a little over protective level."
