Elections will be held to 18 Rajya Sabha seats in five states today and all eyes are on the battle for the four seats in Rajasthan, where the Congress and the BJP are accusing each other of horse-trading.
There are also five Rajya Sabha seats in Bihar, four in Karnataka, three in Orissa and two in Jharkhand to which elections are being held. Forty-nine seats in 12 states were to be vacated in the Upper House, but 21 Rajya Sabha MPs of various parties have already been elected unopposed.
