Sensex ends in red; Sterlite, M&M, BHEL down
MUMBAI: Indian markets ended choppy session in the negative terrain as wary traders chose to stay on sidelines ahead of the weekend amidst volatile global equities.

Bombay Stock Exchange’s Sensex ended at 17434.48 down 74.85 points or 0.43 per cent. It hit intraday high of 17598.94 and low of 17426.78
National Stock Exchange’s Nifty was at 5227.60, down 23.80 points or 0.45 per cent. The index touched a high of 5277.25 and low of 5225.60 in today’s trade.

BSE Midcap Index was down 0.21 per cent and BSE Smallcap Index moved 0.09 per cent higher.

Amongst the sectoral indices, BSE Metal Index slipped 0.81 per cent and BSE Capital Goods Index declined 0.78 per cent. BSE Bankex was up 0.01 per cent.
