Mac Mohan who immortalized the role of Sambha "in Ramesh Sippy's superhit Sholay, died at the age of 71 at the Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital Kokilaben. The gifted actor, known for his only one of its kind hairstyle, has been suffering from cancer for a long time. His daughter told journalists that he had a tumor in the right lung.
"He had suffered too long for a cancer in the right lung and exhaled at Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital Kokilaben this Monday," his daughter Manjiri told IANS.
Mac Mohan was 71 and is survived by his wife, Mini, another daughter and son Vinati Vikrant.
Mac Mohan was the uncle of famous Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon, who was present at his home when his body indoors from the hospital, added Manjiri.
During his vocation in Bollywood, Mac Mohan worked in around 200 films and most played negative roles. Some of his films is "Zanjeer", "Majboor", "Rafoo Chakkar", "Don," Shaan "and" Satte Pe Satta ". His last film was' Journey Bombay to Goa: Laughter unrestricted".
