Libya plane crash 'kills all 104 on board'
A passenger plane has crashed in Libya, killing at least 104 people on board, airport officials say.
It Afriqiyah Airways flights from Johannesburg, had been due to land at 0610 local (0410 GMT), they said. The plane stopped near the airport.
At least 93 passengers aboard the Airbus three hundred and thirtieth they are believed to be of different nationalities, including British and South African.
The 11 crew members were all believed to be Libyan nationals, "said one employee.
Initial reports said there were 94 passengers on board, but the news agency Reuters quoted Afriqiyah saying it was the 93rd
The plane had been due to go to Gatwick Airport outside London after being stopped in Tripoli.
BBC's Rana Jawad in Tripoli says it was unclear whether the plane was on the field when it crashed, but she says the people she spoke with at the airport said they could not see the plane.
Ambulances have gone back and forth to the airport, says our correspondent.
She adds that the weather has been sunny and clear in recent days.
Afriqiyah Airways is a Libyan airline, which was founded in 2001.
