2011 Renault Wind fresh from Geneva Motor Show

2011 Renault Wind fresh from Geneva Motor Show
Back in March Renault showed off its all new Wind coupe-convertible at the Geneva Motor Show, Renault decided to hit the small convertible market with this fresh looking little car. Aimed at the Mini Roadster and Coupe, the Wind has managed to contain itself in a 12.5 foot package.
As with a lot of manufacturer’s Renault have opted for a folding hardtop, but have kept the design simple. The roof rotates back 180 degrees then stows flat under the rear deck. This has allowed them to still retain 9.5 cubic feet of boot space, with the roof down.

Power for the little drop top comes from a choice of two engines. Firstly there is a 100 horsepower 1.15-litre turbocharged unit, and secondly a normally aspirated 1.6-litre pushing out a not very scary 133 hp. However due to the light weight chassis and short wheel base either of these two variants should be entertaining to drive.
