We recently reported that the Verizon iPhone 4 was finally coming and would be released in January 2011. According to Bloomberg this is inline with WSJ reports that products of the CDMA version will begin production in September 2010. If this turns out to be true then Big Red will have a great line-up with Apple’s conquering smartphone and the Droid X from Motorola.
As expected Apple has not commented but plenty of you have. It seems that readers wished that they had waited for the Verizon version instead of settling for what they believe is second-best – AT&T. We know that Apple sold 1.7 million iPhone 4 units in just three days – imagine how bigger that number would have been if 93 million Verizon customers were given the option to own one?
Do not let all the hype of the iPhone 4 take your focus away from the upcoming Motorola Droid X, Brooke Crothers from Cnet News believes that this latest Android handset is packing an iPhone killer feature 3G Mobile Hotspot – otherwise known as Wi-Fi hotspot.
The Motorola Droid X will go one better than MiFi, as you will no longer have to carry a 3G smartphone and a MiFi device. This is certainly a great feature, but we wonder how much life it will drain form the battery?
