India vs Bangladesh live: Gambhir, Kohli keep the scoreboard ticking

India are batting on 176/2 in 28 overs with Virender Sehwag and Virat Kohli at the crease against Bangladesh in the opening match of the Cricket World Cup at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Saturday. Live Score

Gautam Gambhir was the latest victim of a charged up Bangaldesh bowling that saw Mahmudullah claim the India batsman. The ball entered Gambhir's bat-pad gate and crashed into his stumps and he departed for 39 as India slumped to 152/2 in the 24th over.

Earlier, a mix-up saw Sachin Tendulkar run out on 28 as the India score read 69/1 in 10.5 overs.

The last time India met Bangladesh in the World Cup in 2007, India were bowled out for 191, and Bangladesh chased it down pretty easily.

It was regarded as one of the biggest upsets in the history of World Cups. As tournament hosts clashing in the opening match of the World Cup 2011, the question on everyone's lips is: Will India take their revenge in Bangladesh's own backyard?
