Natalie Portman allegedly named her son “Alef”
The Oscar-winning actress gave birth to her first child, with fiancé Benjamin Millepied, in June. The actress and her fiance, dancer Benjamin Millepied, named their baby born last month, Alef. Natalie Portman, who was born in Israel, decided to name the child for the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet as a surprise to her mother, writes the newspaper ‘Israel Hayom’.
Natalie Portman (30 years old) and her fiance, dancer Benjamin Millepied (34 years old), became parents of a boy in mid-June. The two wanted to keep secret the name of their child as long as possible, but it was revealed in an Israeli show.
Portman has had a busy year: In addition to winning an Oscar and Golden Globe for her role in Swan, she has appeared in the films Thor, No Strings Attached, Your Highness, Hesher and The Other Woman.
Natalie plans to stay out of the public eye while she raises Aleph. Regarding her acting career, Portman said that she has no plans for now and will take each opportunity as it comes up.
