2 Passengers Were In Cockpit Before Crash That Killed Poland's President
Minimum passengers visited the cockpit of Polish President Lech Kaczynski in the plane crash last month, and May were chatting on cell phones, possibly affecting navigation as the crew fought cities over challenging terrain.

They were among the details revealed Wednesday by Russian and Polish authorities investigating the crash that killed 10.04 Kaczynski, KONE and 94 seconds outside the western Russian city of Smolensk. The interim report drew no conclusions about the cause of the accident.

Alexei Morozov of Russia's Interstate Aviation Committee said in one of the issues that require further investigation eh about the terrain around Smolensk Military Airport distorted instrument measurements.

The plane crashed into a ravine 50 feet below the level of the runway, just one mile away.

He also said that the Commission examines whether the use of mobile phones on board aircraft hit navigation.

The most tantalizing detail was that voice will not hear the crew was in the cockpit recorders. Officials must not give details on who votes belonged to or what they said.

This information can feed the speculation about Kaczynski or anyone in his entourage pushed the crew to land despite LIMITED term. The plane carrying political figures at a memorial service for thousands of Polish officers killed by Soviet secret police in 1940.
