Air India struggles as many flights cancelled

A day after a staff strike was called off national carrier Air India is stressed to put the process back on track, so many flights from Delhi, Mumbai and other parts of the state still was given up for lost Thursday.

Air travelers are still trapped in airports after two-day flash strike left Air India totally in the lurch.

Over 13,000 passengers were affected by the strike, while passengers were trapped from 4000 to 5000 including 600 in Singapore said Air India.

Air India was forced to cancel over 140 in both home and international flights throughout the strike.

The national airline has allegedly lost 12.5 crore rupees in pay and income over the past two days.

Air India has said it will take at least three days to clear the passenger backlog.
