Bono Undergoes Emergency Back Surgery: U2 Tour Postponed

U2 lead singer Bono had urgent situation surgery on his back in a Munich hospital Friday after being injured while prepare for the subsequently phase of a world tour, the first date is delayed.

The 50-year-old Grammy winner is predictable to stay hospitalized for the new day. "He was admit to a specialist neuro-surgical unit in a Munich hospital, and is under the care of neurosurgeon Prof. Dr. Jörg tons and Dr. Muller Wohlfahrt," a statement released on U2's Web site Friday.

Because of the process have U2 postponed their 3 June concert in Salt Lake City Utah. It is unknown if more dates will be given up for lost.

"We hope to get things resolved as quickly as promising," says Paul McGuinness, U2 manager.
