The cyclonic storm was centered about 120 km east of Nellore, 100 km southeast of Ongole and 120 km south of Machilipatnam. It is likely to move in a north-westerly to northerly direction and crossing the Andhra Pradesh coast between Kavalier and Kakinada.
IMD has forecast widespread rainfall with scattered heavy to very heavy falls and isolated extremely heavy falls (25 cm or more) over coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 36 hours. Strong winds with a maximum speed is now 100-110 km / h is likely along and off the coast.
