The Hrithik Roshan-Barbara Mori stars 'Kites' grossed over Rs.65 crore at its breach weekend worldwide, according to its slot machine.
"Kites" in print more than 2,000 screens in India and across 500 screens abroad on Friday.
The film has been disseminated by Reliance BIG Pictures and produced by Hrithik Roshan's father Rakesh. Directed by Anurag Basu, it is a love story sandwiched between an Indian man and a Mexican woman.
An international discharge of the film titled "Kites-The Remix", edited by Hollywood director Brett Ratner is also releasing the world 28 May.
