Lalit Modi's lawyer to submit show-cause reply on Saturday
Lalit Modi, balanced chairman and representative in the Indian Premier League (IPL) will not personally deliver his answer to the charge sheet slapped him by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
In an e-mail to BCCI secretary N. Srinivasan, said Modi attorney Mehmood M. Abdi would provide the answer to the show-cause notice with relevant papers on the BCCI headquarters at Wankhede Stadium here Saturday between 2.30 and 3.30 p.m.
Modi asked Srinivasan deputes that some unauthorized person to "receive and be familiar with the documents by providing adequate welcome."
Modi was earlier bearing in mind to hand over the answer personally, if the board or the chief escritoire was there to receive it.
The fee sheet, which gave him 15 days to respond, was serve on Modi on April 26 after he was suspended at midnight just after the IPL final. The BCCI later arranged to give Modi time to answer on Saturday.
The show cause lists of accusations of financial irregularity, but Modi has insisted that all decision were made jointly by the IPL leading Council.
The five main charge against Modi includes receiving kickback for smaller television rights and manipulate the Commandments.
