IPL team owners 'miss Lalit Modi' at meeting with BCCI


For the first time since Lalit Modi was suspended, the top brass of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and new Indian Premier League (IPL) chief Chirayu Amin met the owners of the 10 IPL teams today.

After the meeting, Ness Wadia, who is a co-owner of the Kings XI Punjab IPL team, said he "missed Lalit Modi" and hoped would get a fair trial.

Modi to reply to second showcause notice today

Hovering IPL chief Lalit Modi will submit its response to the board today at its second show cause notice. Mehmood Abdi, Modi's councel long-established that they would submit the answer on Monday. Previously, the deadline for submission was extended by 10 days on the Modi asks for.

Lalit Modi's lawyer to submit show-cause reply on Saturday

Lalit Modi, balanced chairman and representative in the Indian Premier League (IPL) will not personally deliver his answer to the charge sheet slapped him by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

In an e-mail to BCCI secretary N. Srinivasan, said Modi attorney Mehmood M. Abdi would provide the answer to the show-cause notice with relevant papers on the BCCI headquarters at Wankhede Stadium here Saturday between 2.30 and 3.30 p.m.

Modi asked Srinivasan deputes that some unauthorized person to "receive and be familiar with the documents by providing adequate welcome."
