IPL team owners 'miss Lalit Modi' at meeting with BCCI

For the first time since Lalit Modi was suspended, the top brass of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and new Indian Premier League (IPL) chief Chirayu Amin met the owners of the 10 IPL teams today.

After the meeting, Ness Wadia, who is a co-owner of the Kings XI Punjab IPL team, said he "missed Lalit Modi" and hoped would get a fair trial.

The Indian Premier League’s interim chairman Chirayu Amin had intended to be co-owner of a franchise while being in the member of governing council. After Amin was approached by an unsuccessful bidder for the Pune franchise — Anirudhha Deshpande, the managing director of City Corporation — he had agree to buy 10 per cent stake through one of his associate companies.

The Indian Premier League interim chairman Chirayu Amin had wanted to become part owner of a permit, and be a member of the Governing Council. After Amin was contacted by an ineffective bidder for the franchise Pune - Anirudhha Deshpande, director of the City Corporation - had agreed to buy 10 percent of the shares through one of his workers.

The BCCI top self-assurance, who sat in on the leading Council determined thet Chirayu Amin, chairman of the BCA, should take over the provisional IPL chairman.

IPL leading Council, which met just hours after the BCCI balanced Lalit Modi (Chairman) and Commissioner for high-profile Twenty20 event also voted against, it's all temporary committees to deal with IPL cases.
