Modi asks BCCI chief to withdraw from probe

Balanced IPL chairman Lalit Modi has asked BCCI president Shahank Manohar to withdraw from the question being conducted next to him.

He has also ask that BCCI desk N Srnivasan be suspended. He has further demand the meeting of a body comprising self-governing people for adujicating the show reason notice. He has already replied to the first one. The second reply is expected.

In a letter sent to Manohar, Modi made some harmful accusations. He alleges that Srinivasan tried his best to pressure IPL policies to suit his team Chennai Super Kings. "He even attempt to have Tamil Nadu umpire for his team’s matches", states the correspondence.

Modi says that Srinivasan went to the degree of trying to prevent Kieron Pollard from playing for Mumbai Indians by rising what he terms frivolous objection with the West Indies Cricket Board.

He also claims that Manohar spoke to Congress MP and previous minister of state for outside affairs Shashi Tharoor on the Kochi bid.

"Manohar used my phone, e-mail to get in touch with Sahara Group and Dainik Bhaskar on bids. Manohar was fully aware of details of TV rights to Sony-MSM. I have documentary evidence to support the latest charge", says the letter.

He also alleges that Manohar was the one accountable for the bid process for the two new franchise being cancelled and then being reschedule this year.
