Trump Decides Winner For 'Celebrity Apprentice'
Rock star Bret Michaels made it to the finish line Sunday in "The CelebrityApprentice" despite fatal illness, and was rewarded with victory and $ 250,000 charity.

"You have done a fantastic job in every way," Donald Trump said before announcing his choice for a vibrant part of NBC's reality show. "A little eccentric, but that's OK. ... You also have proven ... to be very brave. I understand that. "
The other finalists, actress Holly Robinson Peet, has been "fantastic" Trump said, and then made his decision.
"Holly, I must tell you we all love you. And Brett, I must tell you - you're hired," Trump said, drawing a heart healthy "howl" from Michaels.

Michaels' appearance at the finals, which included live and taped segments that had been in question after he had a brain hemorrhage in April and was hospitalized again recently after suffering what doctors called a warning stroke. He faces surgery for a hole in the heart.

Trump does not play down the drama with Michael Health, asked the 47-year-old rock star of Poison fame, he was risking his life by coming in the final against his doctors advice.

"More recently, think like me just to get me to risk my life," Michaels said lightly, adding that it was worth the risk, and he "came to win. He reluctantly and with a slight limp .

Hans presence brought a moment of honest reality of a carefully constructed TV genre.

Robinson Peet and 45, said she and Michael had become close during the series, and there would be no animosity from last season - a reference to the final fireworks between the winner Joan Rivers and runner-up Annie Duke.

Robinson Peet tore up, and she and Michael took the stage before a studio audience in New York.
"Holly, who is so beautiful. You cry," Trump observed.

"I think in America is not it?" She replied. Trump said he had never been weeping for her opponent.

"My 5 year old son woke up this morning and said," Mom, I love you, but I'm pretty drag Bret.

How can you beat that? "Robinson Peet said.

Both celebrities were playing to raise money for their favorite causes, came out on top. Michaels, who as a child was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, claimed the winner prize by the American Diabetes Association and Peet learned that her charitable group would get a similar amount.

Trump said the maker of Snapple drinks had agreed to provide a matching $ 250 000 for HollyRod Foundation whose mission is to support families who have a loved one with a serious medical condition. The actress has a son diagnosed as autistic.

The latest challenge for "The Celebrity Apprentice" had claimed Michaels and Robinson Peet to each create a new variant of Snapple and a promotional campaign for soft drinks. Their versions are sold in a limited period, and highlight the work of their causes.

This season of "Celebrity Apprentice" began airing in March with 14 participants, all competing in the business oriented tasks around Manhattan to raise money and publicize their favorite causes.
