High Court Legal Services Committee (HCLSC) has received Kasab request, which is expected to be placed before the Chief Justice JN Patel, who is the patron saint chief of Maharashtra State Legal Services Authority (MSLSA) and Chief Judge Justice Ranjan Desai, president of HCLSC.
Kasab were provided with free legal aid - first in Abbas Kazmi, his attorney and lawyer KP Pawar - on trial. He has the ability to select experienced lawyers from HC panel to defend him in the High Court, said a HC lawyer.
