By contrast, the just-completed three-game series with the Arizona Diamondbacks was like playing checkers with your grandmother. When the LA Dodgers got to town Friday night, Fenway Park was rocking with all the fury of Guitar Hero Metallica meets Super Mario Brothers.
This was not simply another snoozefest of a ballgame, witness the return of Manny Ramirez for the first time since his July 31, 2008 trade to L.A. But to make it even more interesting, the once-reclusive Roger Clemens decided to make an appearance – and not just in some out-of-the-way luxury box. Clemens sat in full view of the whole ballpark, in the front row of the Monster Seats. Throw in quick visit by Carlton Fisk and even Mike Timlin and you have a bizarre reunion of sorts.
