Five hours before the long-awaited World Cup match Saturday between the United States and England ended in a tie, a cafe across the street from Royal Bafokeng Stadium was an elbow-to-elbow crush of red, white and blue, overflowing with English and American fans, a mixed zone of beer and good-natured trash-talking.
They mixed and mingled, blew vuvuzelas at one another and ate steaks and sausages.
