Ethnic violence is spreading across southern Kyrgyzstan, where at least 80 people have been killed and more than 1,000 wounded.

Kyrgyz clashes kill 49: authorities
The death toll from clashes in southern Kyrgyzstan has risen to 49, according to updated information released by Kyrgyz authorities on Saturday.
Another 654 were wounded following the clashes in the country's second largest city of Osh, the Health Ministry said in a statement.
