- Rand Paul obtain Trey Grayson in all major regions of the State, where he scored his largest victory in the north, an area which include the rapidly growing areas around Cincinnati, and Louisville, who has been dependable GOP. In this region, Paul won 65 percent of the vote that Grayson's 32 percent.
Paul, a 47 years old Bowling Green eye surgeon, had never before run for office and rotating to the online fundraising model that his father pay for their campaign. Grayson was bloodthirsty, drawing heavy financial backing from the traditional GOP donors in Kentucky.
The Kentucky ballot vote was watched around the country, particularly after the tea party activist helped to defeat the three-term Senator Bob Bennett of Utah and forced the Florida governorship Charlie Crist to leave the Philippine government to make an self-governing run for governing body.
