Indian railway E-ticketing Will booked BY SMS

Indian Railways have a revolutionary step by providing passengers with an e-ticket facility on their mobile phones. The railways have done away with the normal printing, reducing paper waste and increase convenience for people.

This unique facility was launched by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee yesterday on a program in Kolkata.




The mobile phone ticket booking system called as "m-tickets" would allow customers booked tickets through mobile phones to get.

Customers are required to Mobile App to download the new Indian Railways Portal URL Indianrailways.gov.in. This portal was launched by the Indian Railways for all services and information in a single window web interface for the public to consolidate.


Mobile Reservation Message (MRM) are issued to customers paying the required fees. Indian Railways bear all costs of the MRM IR web portal. This facility is 0:30 to 11:30 daily.

Tatkal Ticket booking problem in IRCTC web site

Today i have found one more new problem(bug) in IRCTC page in TATKAL booking section

In Tatkal booking section IRCTC check for 2 day from today and if journey date is beyond 2 day from

Today then IRCTC do not allow to book ticket.

here comes the problem....

Some Train reach destination station after 2-3 days and different station have then own quota in same train and date change for same Train number from different stations.

Like : Train Number 12321 [Howrah Mumbai mail]

Start from HOWRAH and ends at MUMBAI and reach MUMBAI at 2nd day of journey

IF i book ticket today (24/3/2011) then IRCTC allow me to book TATKAL of journey date 26/3/2011.

IF 12321 start from HOWRAH on 26/3/2011 at 10 PM

so date become change from DURGAPUR means same train arrive at DURGAPUR at 27/3/2011

and dhanbad station have qouta and this station also reach by 27/3/2011

but i cant book ticket because of this stupid 2 days validation script and its available to book for journey date 27/3/2011 from DHANBAD to LTT

This portal have completed its 9-10 year and they have problem like this is same for IRCTC i don't know when they solve this problem

I hope one of them will read my post and take action.....
