Rains claim three lives in Gujarat

Three rain deaths have been reported from Kutcher district of Gujarat since yesterday, officials said today.

Three people, including a four-year-old girl were killed in separate incidents of electric Kutcher in the last 24 hours, they said.

Several districts in Gujarat, including Kutcher, Jamnagar and Rajkot Ahmedabad experienced moderate to heavy rain overnight, combined with strong winds as tropical cyclones and aposPhet & apos Further weakened.

Kutcher recorded 70mm rain in the night while Rajkot received 75 mm cloudy tonight threw normal life out of gear with the water logging in different low-lying areas of the city.

Jamnagar received 55 mm rainfall, while Junagadh district recorded 25 mm rainfall. Ahmedabad gets cloudy since early today to commute to a lot of problems due to water logging in low lying areas of the city.

Sporadic rainfall was also recorded from other parts of the state as Vadodara, Surat and North Gujarat region.

The Indian Meteorological Department has said that & aposPhet & aposhas further raised in a well marked low pressure area and crossed Pakistan. Now there are over west Rajasthan and adjoining central Pakistan.

Porbandar district administration has rescued five crew members on the ship named Sea Gull, who had been stung on the coast following the wind and rain, officials said.
