Now that Sonakshi Sinha has walked out of Kamal Haasan’s upcoming directorial venture ‘Viswaroopam’ citing reasons that her call-sheet dates are getting ‘wasted’, a debate has already started in Kollywood about who would be replacing her in the film.

Deepika, who shot for half-a-day with Rajini on 29th April before the latter fell ill, is gearing up to shoot for the film again amid reports that Rajini could be back in Chennai in two weeks’ time and might start shooting for the film soon. She is said to be literally ‘stumped’ by the offer to star opposite Kamal Haasan.

Reports say that the makers of the film always kept Deepika Padukone as the second option. They anticipated much before that the delay in the movie launch would definitely create some date issues with Sonakshi Sinha, as she is one of the most in-demand actresses in Bollywood. The movie bosses were prepared for it, claim reports.

However, it is not sure whether the makers of the film have approached Deepika Padukone or not. Going by the reports, Kamal Hassan has already offered her the role but the Bollywood actress is yet to approve the project. Industry insiders say that if the actress agrees to act in the film, then it would be a rare feat for an actress to pair the Tamil superstars in her first and second film.

It may be recalled here that Sonakshi Sinha was earlier overlooked by the makers of Rajinikanth's upcoming film Rana. It is because the superstar was uncomfortable acting opposite her, as she is the daughter of his close friend Shatrughan Sinha. Later, she was replaced by Deepika Padukone.

Imran Khan: 'I am in awe of Kareena Kapoor'

Imran Khan, who is currently shooting with Kareena Kapoor, confesses that he is completely smitten by her. "It took me time to get used to the fact that I am working with Kareena Kapoor. I was star struck. I have grown up watching her," Imran said.

"But she is very unaffected by her stardom, it's like she doesn't care and because she is so chilled out about it, it becomes easy to break the mould with her," he added. The 28-year-old said the film being produced by Karan Johar is untitled as of now.

"The film is still untitled and it is not 'Short Term Shaadi', for now it's called production number 27 because it's the 27th production under the Dharma (Productions) banner. But we are working on the title," he said.

"We are just half way through with the shooting, so either by the end of this year or early next year the film will release," he said.

Kareena Kapoor cut short her vacations to shoot Bodyguard!

Bollywood Queen Kareena Kapoor has been signed to play the female lead in Salman Khan’s next movie Bodyguard, which is a remake of a Malayalam film starring Dileep and Nayantara.

Bebo who went on holiday with her actor boyfriend Saif Ali Khan was back in time to shoot for her upcoming film “Bodyguard”. By this act she has given a proof for her seriousness regarding her profession and her concerns related with time. There are reports that Bebo and Chote Nawab were out to enjoy a short vacation in Paris while the shooting of “Bodyguard” was being carried out.

Kareena promised to the entire unit of the film and especially to Salman Khan that she will be back in time to resume with the shooting. It has been revealed by sources that the movie was running out of schedule and Bebo was required to manage with that.

At that time Salman Kahn asked her to be there and Bebo kept her promise to cut short her vacation and flew back to India. It is also informed that Bebo took a Delhi bound flight from Paris and then she managed to reach Chandigarh. After that she further travelled to reach Patiala city where the shooting was going on.

After this entire travelling schedule the actress was very tired but to keep up with her words, she some how managed to head for the shooting straight away. This is a true example of professionalism set by the actress and has given inspiration to all other actors to behave this way.

Prabhu Deva granted divorce with his wife Latha aka Ramlath

South Indian Choreographer/actor-director Prabhu Deva and his estranged wife were granted mutual divorce by a family court. Prabhu Deva and his estranged wife, Latha, whom he had married in 1995 despite stiff opposition from his family, had been living separately for more than two years following difference of opinion and misunderstanding between them.

Latha, who was also an actress till she got married, had filed a petition three months ago for restitution of conjugal rights. Later Prabhu Deva and Latha filed the mutual petition submitting that all efforts taken by elders of both sides and mediators were in vain and they had agreed for mutual consent of divorce.

Granting divorce, Principal Family court judge, TCS Raja Chokalingame recorded that the couple had agreed that they would not make any claim including maintenance and property against each other in future.

As per the divorce agreement with Latha, he has paid Rs 10 lakh to her as permanent alimony. The actor also transferred property in Anna Nagar along with two cars to her name.

He has also transferred land at Injambakkam village and his property at Alekhyas Kaushik Meadows in the names of his two children. Both children are under Latha's custody, but the court has granted Prabhu Deva access to them as he wishes. He also agreed to bear cost of their education, marriage and other expenses in future.

The star says that it is really hard to get him angry. "It hurts, but that doesn't mean that you hurt people back. Nor do I think that fighting or getting angry solves any problem. One needs to think logical when you want to solve a problem," he adds.It is the same belief that holds him in stead during extreme criticism. "You need to accept criticism with a smile. People criticise you because they love you and they want you to do better. If you want to do well in life this is one thing that you must take positively. Reportedly, a Patiala-based NGO has also decided to serve a legal notice to Salman for smoking in public. In January 2009, Salman was issued two notices for smoking at a public place in Kurali town in Punjab's Mohali district earlier.

The star cast of the film including Kareena Kapoor, Raj Babbar, Asrani and Aditya Pancholi are camping in Patiala for the film’s shooting, which will continue till July 15.
